There's quite a few collections of Dub music floating around these days. But this is one set (from the years 1976-1990) worth checking out. Yes there's several tracks from the "Raiders Of The Lost Dub" album from the 80's, and the period included takes in some different styles of Dub. But the majority of these tracks are taken from 7", 12", and album versions, and the quality is pretty high. And there's a number of tracks new to CD that are well worth having. Plus the original master tapes were used for this set, and the sound is very good--one of the best sounding Dub collections available. The 10 page booklet has an overview on the history of Dub, complete track listing, plus a few period photos and record labels and album covers. Even the CDs look like 45 rpm singles--a nice touch.
