New day at midnight the sixth studio album of the British singer and author of songs David Gray released on October 28, 2002 in Great Britain East West Records and IHT of records and on November 5, 2002 in the USA RCA ATO Records which was a print, and PGT as it is good. The album entered in a chart of albums of Great Britain at number 1 after its opening of week, and spent in total 49 weeks on graphics.
New day at midnight I let out two singles: "other party" in December, 2002, and "Be Mine" in April, 2003 was released by "by the dead in water" in quality a promo-single in November, 2002 as commercial, so singles it wasn't succeeded to break through in top-20 in a chart of singles of Great Britain, having reached No. 35 and No. 23 respectively. the album received the extremely mixed comments, but continued to be certified platinum four times.
The album is devoted David, the father Gray, Pyotr who died from cancer in 2001 at the height of Gray's popularity. the song under the name "New Day at Midnight" written about the birth of his first daughter, the Ivy I was it is written to time of a recording of the album, but it wasn't included in an album.
